About Me
Hello! I'm Jeramy Wenserit, a Staff Software Engineer at digidip GmbH in Berlin (a company of mrge Group GmbH) with over 21 years building backend systems and cloud infrastructure, although I've been tinkering with the internet, hardware and software since I was 14.
I first got in front of a computer in 1989 after my parents bought the first family computer, a magnificent 80286 running at 4Mhz, which also included 1MB RAM, 40MB HDD and a mouse running DOS. I've used many kinds of computers over the years, including Macintoshes (90s PwPC Performas, original iMac rev.b, all the way upto the latest M1 models), Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Centos, Redhat, Suse, Yellowdog, Raspbian, NixOS), Windows (from 3.11 up to 10). My current drivers are a MacbookPro M1, Pop!OS (& Win10) PC, a NixOS headless Server and some Raspberry PIs kicking around.
On the professional side of my life, I've spent most of my career in backend architecture, cloud-native platforms, data engineering, and DevOps. I like understanding how systems work before changing them — picking apart the constraints, mapping the dependencies, figuring out why something was built the way it was. I tend to lose interest once a problem is solved, but give me something complex to untangle and I'm in my element.
